About Us
Format, Vision, Roots: Unveiling our Event Evolution
How Does it Work?
Treasure Hunts 🤝 Scavenger Hunts
Our flagship format consists of groups of ten traversing custom-built courses, solving clues and completing challenges along the way.
That being said, our format is not fixed, and every event is tailored while maintaining an underpinning of inclusiveness and cohesion.
Building an event?
1
Stage 1: Welcome Gathering
Events begin at a large open space where attendees are welcomed, split into groups, and complete an inter-team competition. At this point, teams are split up, assigned a referee and a designated course, and provided a clue to their first location.
Stage 2: Course Traversion
2
At each location along the way, the team must complete a challenge before unlocking the next clue. And repeat!
3
Stage 3: Rendezvous + Afterparty!
Once all teams arrive at the final location, winners are announced, prizes are distributed, and teams can mingle. With everyone warmed up, we head to the afterparty!
A New Way to Connect: A Short Video Encapsulating our Vision

Chapter 1: Setting the Scene(ry)
It’s difficult to find a good place to start our story as a company, so I guess I’ll start from the very start. I’ve been fortunate enough to have lived in several countries growing up. I’m even more lucky to say every place I’ve lived was engulfed in natural beauty; that is, until I moved to London.
Don’t get me wrong: London is a beautiful city in its own right. But when I first moved here three years ago to pursue my Physics degree at Imperial College London, it was difficult to immediately appreciate. What I loved most about nature was not just its serenity, but also its tendency to lend itself to deeper connection and meaningful conversations. There are many reasons for this, not least of which is the inevitability of exploration and adventure absent overstimulation; the perfect formula for profundity.
Chapter 2: Big City Loneliness and the Quest for a better social life
The paradox of big-city loneliness is no new phenomenon, but it is one that I witnessed firsthand when I came to London. I’d met more people over a few days than I had previously met perhaps over my whole life; yet it was all superficial, and nothing clicked. Combine that with London’s excessive focus on quick-thrill nightlife and Imperial students’ well-earned reputation for not prioritising socialisation, and you have yourself a real pickle.
However, the issue is not that Imperial students, or any other London-dwellers for that matter, don’t put in any effort. It’s just that the default city social scene doesn’t always appropriately reward this effort—at least not for a significant portion of the population. My good friend Louis and I discovered this firsthand by conducting our first-ever treasure hunt event to improve our own social lives. Through overwhelmingly positive feedback from the event, we realised there was a genuine desire for deeper connection; one we were able to fulfil by creating our own little adventure in the heart of the city.
Chapter 3: Revolutionising the Social Lanscape
Research shows that social connection and healthy relationships are the primary factor in determining one’s happiness; while somewhat intuitive, this is something I didn’t always realise as a naturally introverted person. The more we ran events, the more I saw the bigger picture and our format’s true capacity to address this increasingly relevant issue. At that point, making things official and pursuing TFS Events full-time was a no-brainer.
And here we are today! With several events under the belt and loads of positive feedback (and yes, also plenty of hiccups we’ve learnt from), we are confident in our unique ability to deliver to you an experience that best encapsulates this vision of providing a platform for profundity. We hope you’ll take The Final Shot with us soon, and I think it’s safe to say it won’t be your final one after all... 🥂
